How the email gets to Klaviyo

  1. Build it in Blocks

Start from a template, change it by clicking, no code.

  2. Export → Email platforms → Klaviyo

Choose the list and add a subject line. Your Klaviyo key is already saved in the project.

  3. In your Klaviyo account

A new template and a draft campaign for that list. Press “Open in Klaviyo” to review and schedule the campaign.

Why build Klaviyo emails in Blocks

  • Edit by clicking

Every heading, image and button is a block. Change the email without touching code or waiting for a developer.

  • Ready for phones

The layout adapts to small screens on its own, so you don’t build a separate mobile version.

  • Connect once per project

Add your Klaviyo keys in the project settings once. Every export from that project lands in the same account.

Not on Klaviyo?

Blocks exports straight to these platforms too.

For any other platform, download the email as HTML or a ZIP archive and upload it there.

Frequently asked questions

What does the export create in Klaviyo?
A template in Templates and a draft campaign for the list you choose, with the template attached. Nothing goes out: you review, schedule and send the campaign in Klaviyo.
What do I need to connect Klaviyo?
A private API key with templates:write and campaigns:write access (or full access) and a sender address verified in Klaviyo. You add them once in the project settings.
If I edit the email again, does Klaviyo update?
No. Each export creates a new template and campaign, so earlier versions stay as they were. Export again once the email is final.
Can I use Klaviyo personalisation tags?
There is no menu of Klaviyo tags in the editor, but you can type one into the text, such as {{ first_name }}. Check it in Klaviyo’s preview before you send.
Where are the images stored?
On Blocks’ image server. The email links to them, so there is nothing to upload to Klaviyo.
What about the preview text?
Add it in Klaviyo after the export. The subject line goes across; the preview text doesn’t.
