Best Stripo Alternatives: 6 Email Builders Compared
Stripo is one of the best-known email builders: more than 1,650 templates, a code editor next to the drag-and-drop editor and export to 90+ email service providers. Still, teams look for a Stripo alternative when the price grows with the team or when the export limits get in the way. This article compares six alternatives on price, free plans, export, import and AI, and explains how to move your Stripo emails to Blocks.
Why people look for a Stripo alternative
Stripo is a strong editor, and it is worth knowing what you would give up. These are the limits people most often run into, taken from Stripo’s pricing page:
- Team size. Basic ($20 a month) includes 2 members, Medium ($45) includes 3, and Pro ($125) includes 10. Each extra member costs $10 a month.
- Exports. The Free plan gives 4 exports a month to HTML, PDF, Gmail, Outlook, Zapier and webhooks. Pushing emails to an email service provider requires Basic or higher, and Basic allows 50 exports a month.
- Stored emails. Free keeps 10 emails, Basic 50 and Medium 300.
- Imported HTML. Stripo can upload HTML, MJML and ZIP files, but according to Stripo’s help center “only MJML templates become fully editable in the drag-and-drop editor”.
If none of this bothers you, Stripo may still be the right tool. If it does, here is how the alternatives compare.

The six Stripo alternatives
1. Blocks
Blocks is a drag-and-drop email builder with a code editor, a gallery of free templates and export to 53 platforms, from Mailchimp and Klaviyo to Salesforce Marketing Cloud. It also has an AI text assistant, an image generator and AI email generation.
What sets Blocks apart for Stripo users is the way in. Emails made in Stripo and Beefree are recognised after import and converted into editable blocks in one click, so you keep working with sections and elements instead of a single block of code. You can also connect your Stripo project by API key and bring over templates and emails with their folders and images in one go. How it works is described below.
Personal costs $16 a month billed yearly ($20 monthly) for one user, Advanced costs $37 ($45) for 3 users, and Pro costs $79 ($95) for 10 users. See all limits on the pricing page.
2. Beefree (now RGE Studio)
The Beefree email builder was renamed RGE Studio in 2026 and became part of the Really Good Emails family, while Beefree SDK keeps the old name. It is a mature editor with more than 1,600 templates, comments on every plan, approvals, user roles on paid plans and 23 connectors to email platforms.
The free Starter plan allows 10 designs and 6 exports a month, and importing HTML requires a paid plan: Professional at $25 a month billed yearly ($30 monthly) includes 2 users and 4 imports a month. Read more in our Beefree review and our list of Beefree alternatives.
3. Topol
Topol is the cheapest option in this list: Topol PRO costs $10 a month billed yearly ($15 monthly) for one user, and the Team plan costs $15 ($20) for 3 users. Topol does not count exports: HTML downloads are unlimited, and you can export templates to 26 platforms. The AI assistant and an AI chat that builds an email from a description come without credits.
There is a 14-day trial without a credit card but no free plan on the pricing page, and Topol does not describe a way to import emails from other editors. Read more in our Topol review.
4. Postcards by Designmodo
Postcards is a modular editor with a free Start plan (10 projects, 5 exports a month) and paid plans from $16 a month billed yearly ($19 monthly). Its paid plans include AI Suite: it builds whole emails from a prompt, edits them and translates them. Postcards also converts existing HTML into editable templates with AI, and AI agents can work with your projects over MCP.
The Plus plan includes one editor, and each extra editor costs $8 a month. Read more in our Postcards review.
5. Tabular
Tabular focuses on precise layouts: you can make a completely different mobile version of an email, and the company says its emails display correctly in more than 50 email clients, including older Outlook versions. Prices are in euros: Plus costs €24.17 a month billed yearly (€29 monthly) for 2 members, and there is a free plan with 3 stored emails and 3 exports a month.
Tabular does not list AI features or import from other editors on its website.
6. Chamaileon
Chamaileon is built for larger teams that review and approve emails together: real-time co-editing, approvals inside the editor, and onboarding with a design system setup at no extra cost. It has no public plans or free plan. According to the pricing page, subscriptions start “from $4k/year or $400/month”, with as many seats as the team needs.
Chamaileon imports HTML into editable templates and includes template migration in its onboarding. Read more in our Chamaileon review.
How to move your emails from Stripo to Blocks
First, create a Blocks account and turn on the free 14-day trial. Importing is part of the paid plans, and the trial opens the whole editor without a credit card.
Option 1: import straight from Stripo
This is the fastest way if you still have access to your Stripo project.
- In Stripo, the project owner creates an API key on the project settings page.
- In Blocks, the owner or an admin of the project clicks Import from Stripo and pastes the key.
- Choose the templates and emails to bring over. Blocks copies them with their folders and moves the images into your project’s storage.
When you open an imported email, the editor offers to convert the Stripo layout into editable blocks. After the import, check the result: if an image could not be copied, Blocks reports that it was left as a link to Stripo.
Option 2: export the HTML and import the file
- In Stripo, export the email as HTML. On the Free plan, this counts towards the 4 exports a month.
- In Blocks, click Import email from file on your project page and choose the HTML, EML or ZIP file (how importing works).
- Open the email and convert the Stripo layout into editable blocks. Images that still load are copied into your project’s storage.
The HTML email converter page explains what happens to Stripo layouts during conversion, and the migration page covers other editors.
How we compared
Prices and features were checked on October 19, 2026 on the official pages of each tool: Stripo, RGE Studio, Topol, Postcards, Tabular, Chamaileon and Blocks. Prices are per month, without taxes. “Not listed” means we found no such feature on the vendor’s own pages.
